Vladimir Lenin takes charge and a new communist regime is established in Russia. On October 25th 1917, the Russian Revolution comes to an end after the revolutionist storm The Winter Palace in Saint Petersburg. It was while he was in exile in Siberia that he changed his name to Joseph Stalin. He was later exiled to the North of Russia and over the next 20 years, he would be arrested and exiled at least 6 more times. In 1902 he took part in a demonstration and was arrested.
